Call for Submissions: Queermance Volume II

We’re back for another year! In conjunction with Clan Destine Press, Queermance Australia is searching out the best of Australian and New Zealand Queer Romantic Fiction for our second Anthology and we’re once again throwing the doors open to all writings both published and aspiring.

Gay-Love-Equal-Love

We are looking for Stories which:

  • Include a queer relationship. Other elements are encouraged but a relationship must be part of the story, even if it is not foregrounded.
  • Are a minimum of 4000 words and a maximum of 10,000 words
  • Have a strong connection to either Australia or New Zealand. This could be an Aussie or Kiwi expatriate overseas or a story set somewhere in Australia with a strong sense of place.
  • Are in by Monday the 15th of December 2014. Please email to submissions@queermance.com.au

The best stories will be included in the Queermance Anthology. We are currently seeking funding to pay for our stories, but we are unable to commit to funding at this time–stay tuned for an update! Regardless, authors may be contacted by our editorial team in regards to future publication possibilities, including standalone publication. Queermance Vol II will be overseen by Lindy Cameron of Clan Destine Press, and will be launched at the Hare Hole on Friday the 17th of April 2015.

If you’d like to see what we’ve published before, please check out Queermance Vol I, our inaugural Anthology, available as an ebook download from Clan Destine Press.
